HAVE YOU EVER HEARD A CONTEST MACHINE WITH FLAT TYRES? NO MORE!

HAVE YOU EVER HEARD A CONTEST MACHINE WITH FLAT TYRES? NO MORE!

Such has been the case with Radio Arcala's mothership, OH8X, this season. Challenging targets were established but results, even domestically, are not in line with expectations.

So, way up North they went to discuss the matter and finally, around the fireworks, in the small wee hours, they found a way out of the deadlock. Here's the plan - both internally and externally - something that others will be amazed at and can only look upon with open eyes. Radio Arcala has decided to strike back!

For the three remaining contests of 2011 - SAC SSB, CQWW SSB and CQWW CW - they have invited what they consider the most potential drivers from their own region, letting these drive the OH8X machine for best possible results and capture the essence and actual idea of making the contesting package better and ultimately putting it back on the winning track.

Herewith we announce the visiting OH8X operators: SAC SSB - Tonno Vahlk, ES5TV; CQWW SSB - Kim Ostman, OH6KZP, and CQWW CW - Toivo Hallikivi, ES2RR. Radio Arcala welcomes these great personalities and operators!

But to add even more oil to the flames, Radio Arcala's three (3) other associate stations will be manned as follows: OH0X station is to be operated by Pasi Luoma-aho, OH6UM and OH2BH station by Toni Linden, OH2UA to challenge the new folks in the SSB leg of this year's Scandinavian Activity Contest.

Additionally Market Reef, OJ0X, will be activated, including the SAC Contest by quartet of Juha, OH1ND, Martti, OH2BH, Teemu, SM0W and Rick, SM6U.

Radio Arcala's OH2, OH0X , OJ0X and CR2X CQWW puddings are still in the making.

It will be interesting to see how these two forces - traditional guys and those with fresh ideas and new energy - come out in the SAC SSB Contest, slated to be the race of the year in the Deep North. It is titled "The Polar Battle".

So join the 24-hour Scandinavian Activity Contest (SSB) October 8-9, 2011 starting at 1200 UTC.
